Methods for Quickly Distinguishing Common SMT mounted Components
With the development of SMT mounted technology to miniaturization and high efficiency, various common components are getting more and more smaller. The commonly used mounted resistors, inductors and capacitors are difficult to distinguish in appearance. So how to quickly distinguish the common SMT patch components? Here's a quick way to distinguish.
Differentiation between SMD inductance and SMD capacitor:
1. Look at the color (black) - generally black one is the SMD inductor. The SMD capacitors are black only if they are brave enough to be used in precision equipment. The other common SMD capacitors are basically not black.
2. Look at the model code - the SMD inductor starts with L and the SMD capacitor starts with C. Preliminary judgement from the shape of the circle should be inductance, and the measurement of resistance at both ends is a few Euros, that is inductance.
3. Inspection - SMD inductance generally has small resistance value, and there is no "charge and discharge" triggered multimeter pointer back and forth deflection phenomenon. And the SMD capacitor has the phenomenon of charge and discharge.
4. Look at the internal structure - find the same components can split the components to see the internal structure, with a coil structure for the SMD inductor.
How to Quickly Distinguish Common SMT patch Components
Differentiation between SMD inductance and SMD resistance:
1. According to the shape of the inductor, the shape of the inductor is polygonal, while the resistance is basically rectangular. When the shape of the components that need to be distinguished has polygon, especially circular, it is generally considered as inductance.
2. Measuring resistance value - inductance resistance value is relatively small, resistance value of resistance is relatively large.
Differentiation between patch capacitance and patch resistance:
1. Look at the color - mostly the SMD capacitors are grey, blue-grey and yellow, usually slightly lighter than the cardboard shell. Some SMD capacitors are not printed, mainly because they are sintered at high temperature, which makes it impossible to print on their surface.
2. Look at the sign - the symbol of the SMD capacitor in the circuit is "C" and the symbol of the SMD resistance is "R".
3. Measurement method - Generally, the value of resistance of SMD capacitors is very large, but the resistance of SMD capacitors is relatively small. The SMD capacitor has charge and discharge phenomena, but the SMD resistance has no like that.
